Visual Craft

In digital industries, there often tends to be a focus on getting the latest iteration to market fast, and at a lower cost. I believe the nature of this expedient process creates shortfalls when it comes to brand perception and user experience. Visual craft is the process of consideration, asking questions, thinking multiple steps ahead and applying meticulous attention to detail in every business decision regardless of stage or concept. I believe design can solve any problem with this applied thinking.

About me

I'm a digital design lead with a background in traditional graphic design. I'm hugely into the foundational principles of typography, layout and proportions and I like to always consider how these can affect a user's experience, wether that be online, using a product or in a physical space. Reductive and functional design cues are often employed throughout my work to communicate a clear and considered visual message.
When I'm not designing, I like to build things in the home and garden. I get stuck into any type of DIY or construction jobs and I believe that those who work with their minds need to relax with a hands-on project.
